6. Christoffer Pederson was born about 1833 in Hurdalen, Akershus, Norway. Birth year is evidenced by 1880 census. He died on 9 Oct 1882. His clothes caught in a threshing machine and he died l 1/2 hours later. A better source, Berna Overgard Long said he died of pneumonia. He served in the military 1862 to 1865 in the Civil War, D25 and G15 WI infantry. He was buried in Folsom Cemetery, Folsom, WI. He was married to Kjersti Thoresdatter Ryttergård on 9 Apr 1870 in Monroe Co, WI. WI records has her name as Christine Thoreson and his as Christopher Peterson.

7. Kjersti Thoresdatter Ryttergård was born on 27 Feb 1840 in Tolga, Hedmark, Norway. She was christened on 22 Mar 1840 in Tolga, Hedmark, Norway. She died on 21 Nov 1891 in Liberty, Vernon Co, WI. She emigrated 26 May 1866 arrived 18 Jul 1866 from Trondheim, Norway to Quebec on the ship Vidfarne. She was buried in Viola, WI cemetery; it is believed the stone washed away in a flood. She was also known as Christine Thoreson. She died of infection. Children were:

i. Thorina M (Nellie) Peterson was born about 1871 in Cashton, WI. She died on 3 Dec 1944. She was buried in Viroqua, WI.
ii. Peter Christopher Peterson was born about 1873 in WI. He appeared on the census in 1880 in Jefferson, Vernon Co, WI. He died in 1935 in a car accident..
iii. Maria Peterson was born about 1874 in WI. She died about 1893 in of a burst appendix.

v. Emil C. Peterson was born on 15 Oct 1880 in Cashton, WI. He died on 19 May 1934 in Viola, WI.
vi. Clara Peterson was born about 1882 in WI. She was buried in one of the Folsom, WI cemeteries.
