380. Hans Kiener was born about 1640 in Furfeld, Neckar, Germany. Hans Kiener is the last known person of the Kiener/Kuhner lineage, as is displayed on the above referenced charts.

Furfeld, Germany is town of birth for Hans Kiener. Birth and death dates are presumed, based on the recorded birth date of son Hans [b.1666]. This is accurate as possible because the Furfeld town records did not begin until 1694. This community is geographically near Botenheim, thereby allowing source [1] to research this family. No date of death was found for Hans Kiener and no earlier records of this family was available.

We do not have knowledge as to why the surname is spelled differently for this Hans the father, and Hans Kuhner [#289] the son [1666-1745]. One would be inclined to believe the change occurred in the recording process in the church records rather than the family being responsible for originating such a change.

Hans Kiener was married in the town of his birth, Furfeld and we know only of a son issued from this union. Hans Martin Kuhner, the son, is described on the preceding pages.
